Felons can’t hold office in Missouri. It’s a pretty simple premise. So Republican Herschel

Young‘s victory as

presiding commissioner of Cass County last November has been thrown out by a judge.

Young had been banned from taking office because he pleaded guilty in 1995 to a Class-C felony for slugging a

guy, who he claimed spit in his wife’s face. Young received probation. But a skeleton has popped out of the closet and will keep him out of office.
