Having solved all of KC’s problems, KCPD enforces jaywalking

Attention free-form street crossers: The KCPD wants you.
Starting today, the department will be enforcing the jaywalking rules, which means no more crossing when it simply looks clear, according to a press release.
Motorists also need to take heed, because it’s illegal to cutoff a walker when he or she has got the little man saying walk.
According to KCPD stats, 10 unlucky pedestrians have been killed by motorists this year and another 165 have been injured.
This round of enforcement lasts until November 13 — at which point it becomes decriminalized again? — but police say there will be further jaywalking crackdowns in the future.
You’ve been warned.
