Have you heard about Kanrocksas yet?

UPDATE: Wednesday, April 20, 9:56 a.m.: We’ve just received a press release from the festival, and here are some more details. We’ll give you more as we get ’em:

This summer, Kanrocksas Music Festival will hit the Midwest and overtake the Kansas City area as one of the top music festivals in the nation with major headliners, multiple stages and a projected attendance of 100,000. This major music festival will offer unrivaled value by combining free parking, free camping and no service charges. Increasing the overall value is an unrivaled musical lineup, fan-friendly activities, and a significant emphasis on Earth-friendly initiatives and charitable causes, creating a unique, social experience.

Something big is coming down the pipes this summer, and it’s called Kanrocksas. We’ve promised to keep some juicy details under wraps for a little while yet, but trust us: This one’s gonna be good.

There will be a press release soon, and we’ll have a slew of acts to announce afterward. (Right now, according to the festival’s Facebook page, there will be more than 20 national acts.) The concert is slated for August 5 and 6, just days after this year’s Pitch Music Showcase. Keep your ears to the ground, Kansas City.
