Harry Truman’s Birthday Celebration

A birthday party for the president lasts all day at the Truman Presidential Museum and Library. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for a wreath laying ceremony in the courtyard at the Truman graves at 9 a.m. Hear homespun stories about Uncle Harry during a 11 a.m. program, share a piece of birthday cake with Harry from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., learn about Harry’s childhood in the original puppet show Hats off to Harry at 2 p.m., (followed by a make and take puppet activity for children) and explore the special exhibit Memories of Korea on the lower level from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
