Harry Truman’s 12-Inchers
If it’s too loud, you’re too old. The name of a new exhibit at the Harry S. Truman National Historic Site (223 North Main, Independence, 816-254-9929) expresses that same sentiment, if a little more nicely. It’s Not Noise. It Is Music features more than 250 albums that belonged to the Truman family. Find out what constituted rebel music to the president from Missouri and what he and the first lady enjoyed together. The collection remains on display in the Visitor Center through May 30. The center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free.
