Harold Camping, failed rapture predictor, suffers stroke

Harold Camping must have thought he was finally getting raptured. The 89-year-old evangelical preacher who bought billboards promising that May 21 would be the rapture suffered a stroke last Thursday and was hospitalized over the weekend.

News of Camping’s stroke was posted on the Family Radio Yahoo message board with followers asking for the true believers to “please pray for him.” After the end didn’t come on May 21 (which some attributed to the divine intervention of “Macho Man” Randy Savage), Camping recalculated judgment day for October 21, 2011.
