Harmon Killebrew, former Royal and Hall of Famer, dead at 74

Harmon Killebrew, the Hall of Fame ballplayer who finished his career with the Kansas City Royals, died today at the age of 74, six months after going public with his ongoing battle with esophageal cancer.

Killebrew is best-known for his time with the Minnesota Twins, who retired his number in 1975, but he spent his last season playing professional baseball wearing the powder-blue uniform in KC.
