Harlem, ‘Someday Soon’
Maybe you saw Harlem at the Riot Room a month ago?The Austin trio is one of the better garage acts going these days — though Kansas City has a few bands knocking around town that might give it a run for its money.
In any case, the band, who start a tour with Jack White’s The Dead Weather in July that unfortunately does not stop anywhere close to these parts, today debuted a video for the leadoff track on its excellent recent LP, Hippies. It’s directed by Aaron Brown and Ben Chappel, the duo also responsible for the Morning Benders video where the kids behave like adults and the wildly NSFW Girls video for “Lust for Life.” This one’s got a more laid-back, grainy, America’s Funniest Home Videos vibe.
