Happy-Hour Hit list: Thanksgiving

Since last year, the average cost of milk has decreased 92 cents per gallon, and turkey has gone down by three cents a pound, putting the median cost of a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people at $42.91, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation. So there’s plenty of dough left over for cocktails at these suburban bars. Take the relatives after you put away the pie.

Bar (12804 Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lenexa, 913-888-1227). The name of the place actually stands for “Be A Regular.” It opens today at 6 p.m. and offers $2 wells and $4 Tuaca and Jäger shots until 2 a.m.

Barley’s Brewhaus (16649 Midland Drive, Shawnee, 913-268-5160). Located right off Interstate 435 and Midland, find $3 pints, $4 Jäger bombs, and $5 vodkas and Red Bulls after 6 p.m.

Johnny’s Tavern (8262 Mission Road, Prairie Village, 913-901-0322). There are eight Johnny’s locations in the Kansas City and Lawrence areas. This one will be open at 6 p.m. and feature domestic bottles for $2.50.
