Happy-Hour Hit list: Football
Monday Night Football is back, and you likely have a standing seat at your favorite sports bar. But maybe you’ve recently outgrown your buddies because they live with their parents or still wear carpenter jeans or put the Black Eyed Peas on one too many playlists. In that case, go forth and find yourself some real men.• The Terrace on Grand (1520 Grand, 816-527-0026). This special-event space now opens its downtown rooftop deck every Monday night for scotch, cigars, food and football — the necessary items for a proper “Man-day,” as management there calls it. Hours are from 6 p.m. until the end of the second game, and according to press materials, “ladies are very welcome.” Lucky us! Admission is $12; add $18 for the extras. Call 816-527-0633 to RSVP. • 810 Zone (4686 Broadway, 816-268-9663; 4800 West 119th Street in Leawood, 913-469-9663). The physical incarnation of the eponymous sports radio station has interactive TVs in every booth and a serious collection of memorabilia. On Mondays, the Plaza location offers a happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. and again after 10; the Town Center spot has $3 micro pints and half-price appetizers from 3 to 6 p.m.
