Hammerpress celebrates 20 years in business this week with festivities and discounts

It has been 20 years since Brady Vest started Hammerpress, his Crossroads-based letterpress and design studio. In that time, it has grown from a dinky operation that made posters for Vest’s friends’ bands into a business with 12 employees and a global reach. Hammerpress’s various letterpress products can now be found at retailers such as Urban Outfitters and Paper Source, and the company has done design work for Chronicle Books, ESPN the Magazine, Spin Neapolitan Pizza and fellow homegrown operation Boulevard Brewing Co.

This week, Hammerpress is celebrating its two decades in business by knocking 20 percent off everything in its Crossroads shop (110 Southwest Boulevard) and at its online store, which you can find here (use discount code 20FOR20). They’ll also be selling limited-edition Hammerpress gear (shirts, prints, other goodies) in the shop all week, and offering drinks and snacks to visitors during shop hours (10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Friday; noon-5 p.m. Saturday). The sale runs through this Saturday, September 20.

In other Hammerpress news, Vest and Co. will soon be moving its headquarters a few blocks west down Southwest Boulevard, with an opening in the much bigger space (near the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and Washington) set for January 2015.
