HAIR

Padgett Productions brings to the stage the tribal love-rock musical HAIR, one of the most powerful pieces of theatre, still every bit as potent as when it moved to Broadway over forty years ago, still holding up a mirror to the problems we haven’t yet solved. In 2008 America seemed to be reliving 1968 politically, and today, as we (America) have become more politically involved than we have been in decades, it’s the perfect time to bring the amazing, transformative experience of HAIR to our audiences. One of the most exciting, most unconventional, and still most provocative musicals you’ll ever see, HAIR was the first Broadway musical to use real rock and roll, changing the sound of Broadway forever, introducing great songs like “Let the Sun Shine In,” “Aquarius,” “Good Morning Starshine,” “Easy to be Hard,” and so many others.
