Gunshot victim dies at hospital; police investigating homicide find second person dead at 50th and Chestnut home
UPDATE: The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Lee Taliferro, the gunshot victim who died at the hospital, and 20-year-old Eugene Wheeler, who was found dead at 5005 Chestnut.
Original Story: Kansas City police are investigating a pair of suspicious deaths from Monday evening. Around 5 p.m., officers were called to Research Hospital after a gunshot victim, who was dropped off there, died.
After receiving info, the police went to search a home at 50th and Chestnut. There they found a second person dead inside the home. Neither of the victims’ identities has been released. There is also no suspect info at this time.
If both deaths are declared homicides, KCMO’s total for 2012 will be seven.
