Green Fun

Leading a “conscious lifestyle” could be good for your outward appearance, if the Bliss Fest 2010 organizers’ photos are any indication. Coordinated by a team of pleasant-looking women identified at blissfestkc.com, this earthy festival and family event is billed as a “conscious lifestyle and music celebration” and features a vegetarian food court, a pavilion for body-movement demonstrations (including yoga and hula hooping), a slew of speakers, and a lineup of musical acts that leans heavily in the reggae direction. There’s also an area for the kids to bounce, make eco crafts and listen to music. The festival runs from noon to 9 p.m. at English Landing Park (173 English Landing Drive) in Parkville. Admission is $5.
