Granny allegedly sold meth while babysitting

When baby-sitting your 2-year-old granddaughter, it is not OK to sell meth, even if you’re making only $5 an hour and they don’t get movie channels and there’s nothing good in the fridge. But that’s allegedly what Jody J. Ockert of Enterprise, Kansas, did on August 19. The Salina Journal reports that Ockert was charged Tuesday with dealing meth to a Dickinson County Drug Enforcement Unit undercover officer.
In addition to distribution of a controlled substance, receiving drug proceeds, unlawful use of a telecommunications device and possession of drug paraphernalia, the paper reports, Ockert has been charged with child endangerment. Notably, while Meth Dealing Granny sounds like a failed Tracy Jordan film, the grandma in this case wasn’t slinging crystal to supplement her Medicaid checks. She’s 36. We have a new leading candidate for grandma of the year.
