Google is bringing ultra high-speed broadband to Kansas City, Kansas

Kansas City, Kansas, beat out nearly 1,100 other communities to get Google’s ultra high-speed broadband. Google announced this morning that it’ll build the network in KCK to bring a “next-generation web experience to the community.”
Next-gen, meaning Internet access that’s more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have today. Pretty sweet. How did KCK pull it off?
