Get B-sides and rarities from Besides Asides

In our never-ending quest for new music, we come across websites here and there that bear mentioning. Our current favorite is Besides Asides, dedicated to b-sides, rarities, and bootlegs.

We came across it while trying to track down stuff that wasn’t included on the Ergs‘ b-sides compilation on Dirtnap, Hindsight Is 20-20, My Friend. The kind folks over at Besides Asides put together Hindsight Is 20-20, My Friend Vol. 2, with a lot of Upstairs/Downstairs alternate takes, covers, and the like. There’s also a really choice Snoop Dogg comp called Doggystyle II.

The custom mixes are pretty clever, as well. Stay Positive is “a fictional soundtrack to a fictional movie about an aging punk trying to balance his ethics in life and love without selling out,” with some nice alt-country covers of old-school punk tunes.
