Lee’s Summit police have released the names of the two people found dead in the 25000 block of Milton Thompson Road near Lake Lotawana Wednesday evening.

Police say 12-year-old Gabrielle Morejon is the victim of a homicide and her 58-year-old father, George Morejon, is dead from an apparent suicide.

A death investigation is being conducted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s office’s and the Jackson County Medical Examiner is also investigating.

The Morejons’ bodies were discovered around 6:10 p.m.

Gabrielle Morejon was found dead inside a residence and her father was found dead inside a vehicle behind the home.
