GH: Green is a great back but he has Brett Favre in his backfield to force defense to respect the deep-passing game. Holmes is crafting his incredible season despite playing against defenses that have no respect for the Chiefs’ wide receivers. Without Holmes, the Chiefs are the Bengals and Trent Green is a bigger bust than Steve Bono.

GH: During Allen’s playing days in Kansas City, he always maintained that he would enter the Hall of Fame wearing a Chiefs jersey. It now appears that the local car dealer is heading into Canton wearing black and silver.

GH: Thompson, a Missouri grad, is a new sportswriter for the Star who traveled to Ohio recently to do a where-is-he-now story on the Chiefs’ former quarterback. Almost 2,000 words into his article, Thompson reveals that he never even knocked on Grbac’s door for an interview. Wright could not have been more wrong.
