Front Porch Magical Mystery Tour

Supposedly (that is, according to the Guinness Book of World Records) the Beatles’ “Yesterday” is the most covered pop song of all time, with more than 3,000 versions. Clearly the last thing the world needs is another Beatles cover, yet the three-piece band Beatlegras makes its case with an alluring, soulful twist: interpreting the Fab Four’s songs through bluegrass arrangements. Today’s event, part of the Performing Arts Series at Johnson County Community College, costs $25 and begins at 8 p.m. in Polsky Theatre (12345 College Boulevard in Overland Park).
