Frederick Darrington Jr. enters pleas in two homicides
Fredrick Darrington Jr. pleaded guilty on Wednesday to two homicides from 2007.
Darrington, 22, entered an Alford plea — a guilty plea in which the defendant doesn’t admit committing the crime but acknowledges that there is enough evidence to convict him at trial — in the homicides of Kevin Sherrills and Andre Taylor.
Darrington was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He is already serving a 35-year sentence for a pair of carjackings that were prosecuted in federal court and another carjacking prosecuted in Wyandotte County.
