Fred Phelps’ family’s tires slashed in Oklahoma; isn’t that the opposite of what you want?

Most people want the Westboro Baptist Church out of town as soon as possible. Not the folks in McAlester, Oklahoma. They must have wanted to keep ’em around longer.

Someone slashed the front- and rear-passenger tires of Westboro’s van — and the town folk refused to help repair the tires, the Tulsa World reported. Westboro made an Oklahoma road trip to picket the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey, but they didn’t get a warm welcome from about 1,000 counter-protesters. And, as you can see from the photo by Tulsa World photographer Cory Young, Westboro’s van was vandalized.
