Former Chief John Alt’s son in NHL draft

Remember John Alt? Sure you do, he was a left tackle on the Chiefs during the ’80s and ’90s. And he was good, helping to make the Chiefs an offensive powerhouse back in the day. Alt’s son, Mark, who was born in Kansas City, is also quite the athlete. Mark just wrapped up his senior season at Cretin-Derham Hall high school in Minnesota, where he excelled at his old man’s sport as quarterback of the football team, but he really caught scouts’ eyes as a standout defenseman on the hockey team.
