Forbes names Tech N9ne one of hip-hop’s top earners of 2014

Kansas Citians know well enough how badass Tech N9ne is, but it’s always nice to see the underground star getting his dues outside of his loyal hometown fans. Yesterday, Forbes released its list of 2014’s Hip-Hop Cash Kings, and tying for 16th place – along with Ludacris, Swizz Beatz and 50 Cent – was our own Tech. 

According to Forbes, the Cash Kings are determined based on a combined income from “touring, record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other ventures.” The grading was based on June 2013 to June 2014. By Forbes’ estimation, our boy Tech brings in a cool $8 mill a year.
