Shake Shack is coming to Kansas City

Shake Shack, the New York-based burger-stand chain, has been rapidly expanding across the United States, and today the company announced its first Kansas City location. It will open on the Country Club Plaza sometime this fall, at 239 West 47th Street, a piece of real estate that until recently housed Talbots.

According to the press release, the menu will feature “all the Shack classics, including the ShackBurger®, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes, plus a selection of frozen custard concretes in collaboration with local food purveyors.” (No word yet on who those purveyors will be.) The location will also serve craft beer and wine. And it will include an outdoor patio area with seating. Below is an architect’s rendering of what the Plaza Shake Shack will look like.

Later, Talbots!
