Ezra T. Richardson charged with killing Lorne Mabon

Ezra T. Richardson was charged Wednesday with second-degree murder in the death of Lorne Mabon.

Mabon, 19, was fatally shot near 29th and Indiana on October 13, 2009.

Richardson, 17, was also charged with armed criminal action.

Court records say Richardson’s brother told police that he saw Richardson fire eight

rounds at Mabon. He also told police that Richardson told him, “I got

off on them suckas.”

Police questioned Richardson last night. Richardson denied being

present at the time of the shooting, saying he was with his grandmother

and brother (the same one who claimed that he saw Richardson fire eight rounds at Mabon) at the time of the homicide.
