Extreme Makeover: Home Edition kicks off with pep rally in Overland Park tonight

If you want to be a face in the background of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, then you’ll want to be at the Overland Park Convention Center (6000 College Boulevard in OP) by 6 tonight. The show is kicking off its latest local fix-up project with a pep rally.

The Overland Park Convention Center issued a release today saying volunteers are needed to help out with the build for an east central Kansas family (several families are being considered). One family will find out that it’s the chosen one at the beginning of August (and it looks like rapper Xzibit is on the project’s design team).
