Ex-Jackson County Sheriff’s spokesman accused of faking 48 traffic tickets

If the indictments of three KCK SWAT-team members shook your faith, get a load of this: Former Jackson County Sheriff’s spokesman Lane T. Eitel is accused of making up 49 traffic tickets as well as filing false overtime claims.

Eitel, 54, was a sergeant with the Sheriff’s Office. He resigned earlier this month. Between November 22 and December 22, 2010, Eitel allegedly filed false tickets against 48 people. He also allegedly skipped out on working his overtime shifts that he claimed he worked. How’d he
