Ex-Jackson County CASA director claims she was fired for being a lesbian

The former executive director of Jackson County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates program claims she was fired because of her sexual orientation, and now she’s suing the office, the MO Lawyers Blog reports.
Carol Grimsby claims allegations of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a female staffer led to her getting pink-slipped on September 16, 2009 — a day after she filed a discrimination complaint with the Kansas City Human Relations Department.
