Exhibition of art by Ivy Chapin

Park University graduate Ivy Chapin created the works on display at Campanella Gallery during the month of January. Chapin says in her artist’s statement that motivation for her art was very simple: “I tried to create pieces that I believed to be visually enticing. Compositions that grab my attention have high contrasts and semi-dramatic subject matter. I like art that contains elements that are slightly out of place, but are composed in a realistic manner. I strived to incorporate these themes into my work.”
