Thanks to former reporter/editor Randy Turner and his blog The Turner Report, I’ve been following the case of Pete Newman, the former Kanakuk Kamp director accused of sexually abusing teenage boys.
Actually, Kanakuk is a Christian sports camp.
As we mentioned earlier, Turner noted Newman’s scheduled court appearance for this morning.
An arrest warrant was issued for Newman today during his bond hearing.
The Turner Report says Newman no-showed the hearing and his bond was increased to $100,000. It’s all on Casenet (just enter Newman’s name or the case number, 09AF-CR02097).
