ESPN GameDay will cover KU-Mizzou hoops game
ESPN announced today that College GameDay will come to Columbia to cover the hoopla surrounding the February 4 Mizzou-KU basketball game. The game, which will be the schools’ 266th meeting on the hardwood, will mark the first time the show has covered the basketball side of the schools’ ancient rivalry.
In a statement on the MU sports website, Frank Haith, the Tigers’ new coach, said, “We are obviously proud of what we have to showcase here. We are incredibly excited about our current team and the future of this program.”
Mizzou Arena’s doors will open at 8 a.m., with live televised madness set to begin at 9 on ESPNU. It’s free for fans and students to freak out in the arena during the show.
