ENJOY RESPONSIBLY

Colorado-based New Belgium Brewing – whose Fat Tire Amber Ale is named for founder Jeff Lebesch’s long-ago bicycle trip through Europe — is combining a few of its passions this summer to support eco-friendly organizations. The inaugural, 14-city Clips of Faith Beer and Film Tour promotes the brewery’s Lips of Faith specialty beers while showing off some of the talented amateur filmmakers who share New Belgium’s enthusiasm for “craft beer, sustainability and whimsy.” The free outdoor screening of 20 short films at Theis Park (Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Oak) begins at 7:30 p.m., with proceeds from beer sales and local food vendors benefiting the Missouri Foundation for Bicycling and Walking (see mobikefed.org/foundation). Blankets and low chairs are encouraged; food is welcome, but alcohol is not. (Plenty of New Belgium offerings, including harder-to-find beers, will be available for purchase.)
