Eat This Now: The Cookie-licious Milkshake at Sweet Thang and Café

Even with a glacial wind chill, a quick run for a classic ice cream scoop is a recipe for turning a loss into a win. Sweet Thang and Café in Olathe has playful ice cream flavors, soft baked cookies and brownies, and a few sandwiches to pair with a sweet treat. It’s all about sparkle and a pop of color at this ice cream shop. Don’t skimp on rainbows and sugar.

Opting for the prettiest item on their menu, it was impossible not to come across one of their milkshakes, specifically The Cookie-licious Milkshake—a harmony between their ice cream and baked goods. The customer’s only task is to choose a cookie and an ice cream flavor, but with the endless combinations, this will take a solid moment of contemplation.

Cookie candidates include a Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookie, a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie, three variations of Crinkle Cookies, an Iced Sugar Cookie, an M&M Cookie, and a Midnight Chocolate Cookie. Meanwhile, ice cream choices range from Purple Daze (black raspberry ice cream with chocolate raspberry cups and black raspberry swirl) to Mexican Hot Chocolate and Toasted Coconut, to the classic choices of Vanilla and Chocolate. The decisions are as mind-numbing as the current wind chill.
