Eat This Now: Bistro steak at Prima Facie
Prima Facie—a vibrant bistro and market nestled in the heart of downtown Parkville—opened just six months ago. As a Northlander, I’m thrilled to have an upscale dining option like Prima Facie, offering sophisticated cuisine and experience right on our doorstep.
I recently visited the dine-in side, where I tried the Bistro Steak ($28)—their take on steak frites. The perfectly cooked medium steak paired beautifully with crispy golden fries alongside ketchup and grain mustard sauce.
It was prepared with compound butter and a basil gremolata sauce that made each bite feel like it melted in your mouth. To contrast the rich steak, I paired it with the Fizzy Rose ($8)—a refreshing mix of grapefruit rose vodka, St-Germain, rose syrup, prosecco, and a hint of orange.
The restaurant’s interior blends cozy charm and vintage flair, with warm lighting and eclectic decor that creates an inviting atmosphere. A standout feature is the old bank vault, now transformed into a private dining room.
Next door, the market side serves a variety of drinks like coffee, tea, and boba, along with hot breakfast items, sandwiches, grab-and-go options, and more.
I walked out already planning my next visit. With a good first impression and so much more to discover, Prima Facie quickly earned its spot as a new favorite in Parkville.
Prima Facie is located at 12 E 1st St., Parkville, MO 64152
