Earl V. Ricks, KCMO homicide No. 87: Man shot, killed while riding bike at 34th and Bellefontaine

UPDATE: Kansas City police say 33-year-old Earl V. Ricks was the victim of yesterday’s homicide victim at 34th and Bellefontaine.

Kansas City recorded a second homicide on Sunday, and the 87th homicide of 2010 when a man riding a bike was shot to death at 34th and Bellefontaine just before 6 p.m.

Police found the man lying in the street, just north of the intersection. The victim is described as a black man in his thirties.
