Ear-bending insanity from Wall of Non-Sound #3

Last Friday, on the top level of the downtown Lawrence parking garage, Chris Knudsen organized “Wall of Non-Sound #3.” The idea behind the whole thing was for people to bring amps to the gathering — no instruments, just amps — and allow them to feedback off one another.

The resulting auditory experimentation is available for download below. It’s nearly 17 minutes of feedback, looping into, around, and over itself. Somewhere within the droning cacophony can be heard muted voices, but don’t let that distract from the beautiful sheer randomness that is this recording.
