Double shooting leaves Marshall Blacksure dead; 47 homicides in Kansas City, Missouri

UPDATE (10:30 a.m.): The victim of Wednesday night’s homicide has been identified as 26-year-old Marshall Blacksure of Kansas City, Kansas. Police are still looking for his killer.

Original Story (9:44 a.m.): It’s hard to argue with Louis C.K.’s “shithole” assessment of Kansas City when you check the murder rate. The 47th homicide of 2011 was recorded last night in a double shooting at Roberts and Bales.
