Dion Pettis, Killa City homicide 15: Man fatally shot at Club Champs

Kansas City police say Dion Pettis was the victim of Sunday morning’s homicide at Club Champs, 3900 Jackson.

Police found the 29-year-old Pettis at a nearby residence around 1:43 a.m. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say a second shooting victim — a black male in his late

thirties — was also taken to a local hospital. His wounds were not

life-threatening.

Witnesses told police that Pettis and the second shooting victim were involved in a disturbance with a group of people in the

parking lot when shots were fired.

Police say there are no suspects in custody at this time, and if you

Pettis is Kansas City, Missouri’s seventh homicide victim of 2010.
