Detroit’s Terrible Twos rock a small Replay crowd

There was just enough time following last night’s Fishbone show to make it back to Lawrence and catch Detroit’s Terrible Twos (not to be confused with the Matt Pryor kids’ song project). While there was but a handful of folks in the crowd, the band played its hyper garage-punk no less furiously. To get an idea of the group’s sound, imagine a Devo LP played at 45 rpm and pitch-shifted to sound like the Devil is singing lead. The lucky folks who skipped the Ty Segall show across the street at the Jackpot were treated to opener the Birthday Suits from Japan, which makes Electric Eel Shock look sedate.
