Deonta Taylor convicted of killing Drell Fisher and Reginald Barnes outside of Gerry’s Silver Slipper strip club

A Jackson County jury convicted Deonta R. Taylor of two counts of first-degree murder for killing Drell D.

Fisher and Reginald L. Barnes outside of Independence Avenue strip club Gerry’s Silver Slipper, according to The Kansas City Star.

Police found the bodies of Fisher and Barnes, both 33 and from KCK, shot

to death in the

parking lot outside the club on February 6, 2009.

Taylor, 32, was was picked out of a photo lineup and records at Gerry’s Silver Slipper showed Taylor’s driver’s license was used to get into the club at 2:11 a.m. on February 6, the Star reports. Who knew they were so high tech?
