So that whole Tom Wiggans for governor experiment didn’t work. So now Kansas Democrats may be leaning on at least someone who’s been elected before. Prime Buzz reports that Kansas state Sen. Tom Holland is likely to run for governor and is creating an exploratory committee.
Although the 48-year-old from Baldwin City is only in his first term as a senator, he was first elected as a state rep in 2003. There’s more bio stuff on his Senate campaign site. In his Senate campaign, Holland ran on a platform of job growth and protection, funding Kansas schools, affordable health care, responsible energy policy (not coal) and cutting property taxes.
You can be Holland’s friend on Facebook. Hope he doesn’t have any embarrassing photos.
Sam Brownback probably isn’t losing any sleep.
