The Mystery Train rolls into Westport this evening when Californos (4124 Pennsylvania, 816-531-7878) hosts the murder-mystery dinner-theater event Drawn to Murder. The show is loosely based on Laugh-O-Grams, the creative animated workings that the young Walter Elias Disney created for Kansas City moviegoers in the early 1920s. Theatergoers receive a four-course meal during the show and instructions on how to participate. High jinks and capers ensue as the audience becomes part of the animated-character-inspired blood rivalry for cartoon fame. The show runs through August 22. Tonight, the performance is at Californos, then the production moves to the Hereford House Hollywood Room (100 East 20th Street), except for August 13, when Drawn to Murder plays again at Californos. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $54 on Thursdays and $64 on Fridays and Saturdays. Call 816-813-9654 or see kcmysterytrain.com for a detailed schedule.
