David Matthews’ seventh DUI gets him a year in prison after all

Last September, we told you about David Matthews, who had somehow managed to collect seven DUIs in just 27 years of existence. The last we’d heard of Matthews, he was going to prison for a year, which made us feel better about being on the road.

Last week, Judge Gunnar Sundy granted Matthews probation beginning in September, allowing the 27-year-old to look for work. That was some bullshit. Thankfully, Leavenworth County District Attorney Todd Thompson spoke out to Fox 4, and the judge reconsidered.
