David Glass: A study in frustration

Royals owner David Glass recently told The Kansas City Star that he was as frustrated as any fan with the team’s dog of a season. “None of us are happy with what we have or where we are,” he told beat writer Bob Dutton.

Disappointment is not a new emotion for Glass. Only once since 2000, the year Glass bought the club, has the team finished higher than fourth in the American League Central Division.

On other occasions, Glass has described the feelings that come with owning the Royals. See if you can detect a theme. (All quotes are taken from The Kansas City Star.)

May 2006: “I have never been this frustrated. I’ve got to do something. This can’t continue.”

September 2005: “It’s frustrating. And I react the same as our fans who get frustrated.”
