Dashboard Confessional guitarist John Lefler rocks Czar Bar

On tour in support of his solo album, Better by Design, John Lefler (guitarist and keyboardist for emo mainstay Dashboard Confessional) will roll through Kansas City early next month. Though, to be honest, I’m not sure how “supportive” a tour is that’s for an album released in 2009. Lefler has said of his album: “People have referred to it as ‘power pop,’ which is fine with me. I

love bands like Jellyfish, XTC, Crowded House and, of course, the

Beatles. I think Ram is my favourite Paul McCartney record — which is

how I wish I would sound (and sing).”
