Danyell Jones, father of the year candidate, allegedly takes daughter on crack-fueled ride of terror

Caring father Danyell R. Jones just didn’t want his 6-year-old daughter to see him get pulled over. That was the excuse Jones gave police for trying his damnedest to evade them during a speedy chase on Friday. Of course, it had nothing to do with the fact that he admitted he was high on crack.

According to charges filed this week by Jackson County prosecutors, Jones began his crack-addled cruise from the coppers at around 3 p.m., when a witness wisely called police to report Jones driving his daughter around under the influence. But Jones had no interest in being arrested.
