Danger Bob

Once a staple on the old KLZR 105.9 (“The Lazer”), Danger Bob‘s “The Hook” has remained seared into the minds of all who heard it, acting as both a recitation of famous urban legends and a declaration of the Lawrence band’s ability to write instantly catchy songs. When last we saw Danger Bob five years ago, the band was backed by a 15-person, shot-drinking choir and a dancing puppet, and it wasn’t until messages started coming from singer and guitarist Andy Morton’s Facebook account that anyone knew the power-pop foursome had another reunion planned. Now, the band that has played venues as unlikely as Boon’s Produce and the University of St. Mary’s gymnasium returns to its home base of the Bottleneck to once again show why it’s one of Lawrence’s most beloved bands.
