Dan Beebe, Big 12 commissioner, gets contract extension — even after losing Nebraska and some other school

The Big 12 Conference was on the brink of oblivion this summer — and when it was all over, Nebraska and some other school, which I can’t think of the name of, were gone to new conferences. Losing one of the premiere college football programs in the country, of course, has earned Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe a three-year contract extension. Or maybe they gave it to him for finding a way to dump the other school.
Beebe’s contract was set to expire in 2012, but the new deal will keep him with the conference through June 2015, assuming, Texas willing, that there still is a Big 12 in 2015.
