Damion and Rick Boswell accused of killing Calvin Buckner at A-1 Motel

Two brothers have been charged with second-degree murder in Sunday’s homicide at the A-1 Motel.
Jackson County prosecutors charged 31-year-old Damion Boswell and 25-year-old Rick Boswell with killing Calvin Buckner, who was found shot to death in a public area of the motel. The Boswell brothers are also charged with armed criminal action.
Court records say Buckner met a prostitute for sex in room No. 274; Buckner allegedly offered the woman $150 for sex, although he later asked if she’d accept drugs instead. The woman told him that it was a cash-only deal – and he needed to use a condom. Buckner told the woman to hang tight while he ran some errands and bought condoms.
